Cream-Puff Tree Chocolate Fondue

creampuff tree chocolate fondue

This New Year’s Eve dessert is sure to impress your guests.

Reach out and break off a delicate, flaky puff.

Dip it in a warm bath of chocolate fondue,

Enjoy as the buttery pastry gives way to rich and silky cream hidden inside.

(Turn your heads please. I need a moment alone with my dessert.)

This is quite easy to make also. So let me show you how!

Take some scrap poster board and form it into a 12 inch tall cone.

Make it as large or as small as you like, depending on how many you will be feeding.

Tape seams well then cover in foil.

Over a double boiler, melt 3-4 blocks of white candy coating bark, stirring until smooth.

A 12 inch cone will use approximately 60 frozen mini cream puffs.

Dip the bottom of your frozen cream puff in the white candy coating and place on the base of your cone.

Work your way around the cone then start the next layer around, working your way upward.

Cream Puff Tree

Fill in any spaces with green or red candied cherries, and top your tree with star!

I used thin slices of candied ginger to form the star.

Now that look delish all by itself but we aren’t done!

THIS IS A FONDUE!

So over a double boiler again,

in a bowl melt 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips with 3/4 cup heavy cream.

Stir until silky smooth and transfer to a serving bowl.

Cream Puff Tree

Place your cream puff tree on a large platter and

surround it with piles of sliced bananas, apples, pound cake, pineapple, marshmallows, strawberries,

or whatever you like to dip into your bowl of chocolate!

Dessert is served!!!!

Family and friends will come running!
