Welcome your Passover or Easter guests with a beautiful, fresh spring wreath.
Forsythia, greenery, and limes pack a punch of color!
Start with a simple grapevine wreath.
Walk your yard and gather the greenery you already own.
I cut branches off my forsythia bush, jessamine vines, and variegated privet bush.
If your forsythia isn’t blooming yet click here to find out how to force them into bloom.
Use what you have. Do you have boxwood, holly, cherry, or plum trees?
Tuck your greenery into the grapevine.
Make sure to have a wire cutter and some floral wire on hand.
For those unruly branches, use the wire to tie them down to the grapevine wreath.
Poke a hole into one end of the limes with a paperclip or skewer and then thread a piece of floral wire through the hole you just made.
When placing objects on a wreath, always try to use an odd number of objects. I used 5 limes.
As long as your temperatures are cool, your wreath will last a few days.
Direct sunlight will shorten the life of your wreath’s blooms but your greens will last longer.
This simple, fresh wreath project says, “Welcome to Our Home”.

So pretty! It definitely says spring to me. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I wish I could shop my yard for greenery, but right now everything is in dead stick mode covered in 18 inches of snow! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful wreath!!! I would love it for my front door -- but I would also love it on the mirror above my fireplace.
ReplyDeleteMy forsythia's aren't blooming yet -- but I will go and see how I can force it and make this gorgeous wreath!!! (of course - since everything else is pretty much dead right now -- I will wait a couple weeks. Everything will be blooming soon!)
THANKS for the idea!
