Valentine Cupcake Toppers

Create custom Valentine Cupcake Toppers in minutes! These toppers are so easy and fun to make!

To make Valentine Cupcake Toppers you will need:

• Candy melts
• Freezer quart sized baggies
• waxed paper

Start with a handful of candy melts and place in a freezer quart sized zip lock baggie. Freezer bags are stronger than regular storage bags. I chose red candy melts, but you could have multiple bags with other colors like pink and white if you desire.

Place the baggie in the microwave and warm on high for 30 second intervals. Massage bag between intervals to mix the melted candy. Candy melts will keep their form even after heating, so massaging is important. Draw or print heart shapes or lettering onto a piece of paper and place wax paper over it.

Push the melted candy toward one corner and with your scissors, snip off a very tiny amount of the corner. Start piping your candy over your heart shaped drawings or freehand some shapes. This is where you can get creative! Make squiggles, swirls, or zigzags inside your hearts. Write cursive words. Allow the candy to harden. This should take about ten minutes. 

To remove the candy toppers, lift the waxed paper and carefully peel off the shape. Set your Valentine Cupcake Topper onto prepared frosted cupcakes and enjoy!
