Summer Design Trend: Coral

The summer design trend is CORAL! Coral continues to make it’s presence known in every category of home décor this season. I’ll confess I’ve had a bit of an obsession with coral for a little over a year now and I’m thrilled to see how it has surged in popularity! Would you like to add a touch of coral to your home? Let’s take a little tour of all the different ways you can add a bit of the sea to your home!

Coral Pillows

Pottery Barn’s Branch coral pillow are soft and give a graphic punch of color to your sofa. They run $39.50 each.

I found similar pillows this spring at Home Goods for $12 a piece! I snagged up the gray-blue and crimson pillows, but they also came in taupe, coral orange and turquoise. It was a bargain score!!!

  1. Kim, love the pillow score! Actually prefer it without the trim, it's less busy and the coral pattern shows up better. No coral at my house... I guess I'm out of the coral loop! Looks great in yours though =)

  2. I have that same pillow in coral/red from Overstock, $12 is an amazing price! I'm loving the orange coral rug from Grandin Road, might have to get it for my mudroom.

  5. As soon as I saw the title of your post, I knew I had to check it out for one reason: last weekend my husband and I had a little getaway at a little seaside resort not far away. We stayed at a neat little hotel/B&B type of place. Our room was so pretty - one of the things we noticed straight away was the large framed coral, I think done in embroidery. :)

  6. Oh my goodness, love that pillow from Home Goods! Thanks for the tip! We're in the process of re-doing our bedroom, I have white bedding, a dropcloth headboard, and am doing navy accents. I'm torn between magenta and coral the color as a 2nd accent. I think I need some actual coral, haha! :)

  7. My mom had a piece of coral on a beautiful wood stand - I have no idea where it disappeared to, but I wish I could find it because it would be the perfect piece to display in my family room. I may have to take a shot at your sister's DIY coral :-)

Love all the pretty coral cushions and the monogrammed towels.
