One last pie is baking in the oven and soon the entire family will be gathered together at my mother’s home. All eight grandkids will be happily running wild and playing. The brother-in-laws will be kicking back on the couch watching football. And my two sisters and mom will be busy in the kitchen and enjoying each other’s company. Not too different than your gathering today, I’m sure!
