Gaga for Galvanized

Many of us are going gaga for all things galvanized! I find myself drawn to these silver containers, big and small, shiny or dull. Galvanized buckets are no longer reserved just for the traditional farmhouse use or washing for the car!  They are finding their way into our homes. Like a beautiful silver bracelet added to your outfit, these galvanized buckets bring the bling and subtle shine to décor. Let’s look at some ways we can use tin, aluminum, and galvanized containers.

Galvanized Buckets in Organization & Storage

Calm the clutter with buckets! Store your craft supplies or playroom toys neatly in labeled buckets for quick and easy access. Can you believe this drool worthy craft room makeover by Being Brook? Amazing!

My sister Beth from Home Stories A to Z organized all her craft supplies in adorable little pails hanging from pegboard! How cute it that?

Galvanized Buckets in Flower Arranging & Gardening

I adore any plant in a pail. It adds a charm to the arrangement. The pails are very inexpensive compared to ceramic planters too! How to make a sphere topiary was a recent post using small buckets. Don’t you just love green and silver together?

  4. Hi Kim, Thank you for the beautiful post! I am a Wedding Planner in California and I had bought 35 small galvanized pails for flower petals holders. The bride wanted her guests to toss the flower petals for the grand entrance. I had tied a darling creme ribbon on each pail. I love the idea of putting flowers in them for gifts. I will use some for Valentine's Day gifts! www.eventsbycori.com

  5. Kim,
I have a couple of vintage galvanized tubs. Planted tulip bulbs in one and it's in my garage waiting for spring!

  6. I too love galvanized tubs. I use one for my laundry basket. My dream use would be a large stock tank pool like this one http://bigbangstudio.blogspot.com/2010/06/desert-swim.html.
