I’m always on the look out for fun décor ideas for my kids’ rooms. I recently received a shopping spree opportunity at ConsumerCrafts.com. To be honest, I get kind of overwhelmed in retail craft stores, and shopping online at Consumer Crafts was so much easier, less stressful, and less expensive! I have teenage daughters and one of them seriously loves her bling. With items I purchased from the shopping spree, I was able to make this super cute DIY Mirrored Letter Craft. This letter craft is a “no-skills-required” kind of project that you will love!
How to Make a Mirrored Letter
You will need the following:
Assorted glass mirror rounds (1/2 - 2 inches)
a paper mache letter
craft paint & paint brush
hot glue & hot glue gun
NOTE: I already had a paper mache letter sitting in my craft closet, but Consumer Crafts has the entire paper mache alphabet and theirs is much better quality than mine was.
STEP 1: Choose your letter and paint color. You can use acrylic craft paint, spray paint, or wall paint even. My daughter has a turquoise and lime Roxy surfer girl room, so I chose a turquoise blue paint that matched it. All 4 of my kids’ names start with the letter “M”.
STEP 2: Give your letter a few coats of paint to cover well and allow to dry.
Step 3: Glue the mirror rounds to the painted paper mache letter with a dab of hot glue.
Step 4: Save 2 large circles to use a feet for your letter form. This will help it from tipping over. Or you can omit the mirror feet and hang it on a wall instead. TIP: hot glue a soda can tab to the back as an inexpensive wall hanger.
Isn’t is cute? It sits on her desk in her room next to her Hidden Silhouette Lampshade I made for her.
I’ll definitely be shopping at Consumer Crafts again. They have virtually any craft item you can think of. I might spell out entire word next time.
Pin it if you love it!

ReplyDeleteI fell in love with the project! And your wall color reminds me of the teen bedding sets I bought for the girls. I can add this project for them once I finish the interiors.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of making one and putting it up in my station in our new office space in salcedo village unit. I’m sure my office mates will love my new stuff.
