Romantic Rooms

I’m startled awake by a loud snort. How can one sleeping man make so much noise?

I lay there wide awake, counting the revolutions of the ceiling fan…

but now I was just getting dizzy.

I can’t really blame the poor guy, our family has been battling a bad cold for 2 weeks now.

I’m considering buying stock in Kleenex…. or maybe earplugs.

So needless to say, there hasn’t been much romance happening in our master bedroom, which made me start thinking about how I could create a more romantic appearing bedroom.

‘Cause that’s what I do, when I’m awake for hours on end,

night after night,

I decorate in my mind, and imagine beautiful spaces…

what? Doesn’t everyone?

After all, February is the month of romance and today is a Pin-tastic Tuesday!  Take a look at some of these gorgeous romantic rooms.

They exude calm, quite serenity, that calls you to snuggle up with your lover and well… um… sleep…

eventually at least (wink).

It makes you want to go and buy some long sheer drapes today doesn’t it?

I could get lost in those rooms.
I too decorate in my mind when I can't sleep... or have a few spare minutes... or day dream :-) It's a wonderful disease, and I luv it!!

  8. I love the idea of sheer curtains - I think I would feel like I was living in a movie or something. lol But you're right - they are very romantic and create an ambiance like no other. BTW - I'll share a little secret with you (and the rest of the world, I guess) - I've been sleeping with ear plugs for years. My hubby and I would have separate bedrooms if I didn't! Don't want to bug you, but did you see the email that I sent a few days ago? Just wanted to make sure it didn't go into your spam. Take care!

  9. And move near the water, too -- thinking the sound of the surf would drown out snoring as well. ;-)
Hope everyone gets to feeling better, Kim ~
